My role as a Web Designer at Web Partner
My current role as a Web Designer role at Web Partner is mainly to do maintenance on the company’s clients’ websites, and from time to time design pages or websites or User Journeys and Interfaces for clients.
My daily or regular skills needed to fulfil the tasks at hand were to:
- Code in HTML and CSS.
- Transfer domains and move sites to different domains.
- Work with CMSs like Joomla and WordPress.
- Resize Images and Compress them.
- Troubleshoot back-end error messages.
- Integrate Shipping methods and Payment methods via WooCommerce.
- User Acceptance Testing.
- Registering sites to Google.
- Liaising with clients on new additions to their websites and how to improve UX and UI on their sites.
We use WordPress and Joomla to build sites. We must be able to understand client’s needs and design briefs and fulfil
them to both our and the customer’s satisfaction. Platforms I use to fulfil my tasks are Figma, Visual Studio, FileZilla, and
Microsoft 365, and different browsers to view the site.
